MacMillain Coffee Morning

A HUGE 'Thank You' to all patients and staff who donated to our coffee morning.  The event was organised by our registrar, Dr Shehla Meraj and the baking was delicious and we raised £105.79

Penumbra Peer Link Service

Through funding provided by the South West Angus Locality Improvement Group, we have been able to establish a mental health and wellbeing peer link service through Penumbra here at the practice.  Currently this service is available to all those over 16 years old and already we are seeing benefits for our patients.  Reports and feedback regarding the service have all been very positive and provide patients with a 45 minute appointment with a qualified listener.  From that point, patients can be referred to GP for onward referral, but generally following the peer link appointment, the feedback is that this contact makes a real difference to the wellbeing of those who have used the service.  There is also a programme of groups sessions available covering topics such as stress management, sleep, anxiety and many more. Receptionists Complete Training

Amy Harris (right) and Lucy Yeaman (left) have successfully completed their Modern Apprenticeships (MA) with the practice through Rewards Training Group.

The MA is a nationally recognised work-based method of skills development and qualification achievement.  It encourages apprentices to take ownership of their roles, be more effective in the workplace and add value to organisations.

The qualifications were achieved in 12 months and both Lucy and Amy received workplace visits from Lorraine Feeney (pictured Centre), the Rewards assessor on a regular basis.

About Us

The practice is proud to have provided personal medical care to the majority of the residents of Monifieth since the 1960s.  We are located half way up Victoria Street, in the grounds of Ashludie Hospital and on a public transport route.   The practice is fully adapted for disabled access.

There are four full time doctors and three half time doctors in the partnership and a full complement of nursing and administration staff.

Our aim is to provide a range of high quality, patient-centric, primary health care services delivered by committed and well-trained staff.

We work as an integrated team to provide a high level of effective and appropriate care, in partnership with our community. We aim to combine evidence based holistic care to a high standard that we will audit for quality. We will act as our patients advocates beyond the practice and strive to provide a caring and friendly environment that meets current and future needs. We will develop the internal and external systems required to deliver these objectives.

Opening Hours

The Surgery is open from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday and our friendly receptionists are there to assist you.

The practice is closed between 1pm and 2pm to facilitate administration work.

We also provide an extended hours service on Tuesday mornings 07.30am to 08.00am to cater for those patients who find it difficult to attend the practice during normal surgery hours.
